The first batch of entrepreneurial teams settle in Tencent Entrepreneurship Space in Guangzhou Topchain Community

On the morning of September 8th, the entrepreneurial incubator in Guangzhou's downtown, Guangzhou Topchain Community, officially opened its doors and ushered in Tencent's first batch of entrepreneurial teams to incubate. Guangzhou Topchain Community is located at No. 733 Dongfeng East Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. It is jointly built by Yangcheng Evening News Group, Tencent, and Topchain Assets. After opening, it will become a new type of Internet incubator that integrates community, platform and service, and will become a new starting point and platform for Yangcheng Evening News Group to fully embrace the Internet, promote media integration, and accelerates the transition.

And other related leaders of Yuexiu District and Huanghuagang Street in Guangzhou; Hou Xiaonan, Vice President of Tencent Mobile Internet Business Group; Wang Feiqin, CEO of 3W incubator; Wang Shuang, CEO of Mullah Coffee; Representatives of more than a dozen venture capital institutions and banking institutions such as IDG Capital, Shenzhen Innovation Investment Group, Qifu Capital, Guangdong Venture Capital Association, and the Lingnan Venture Club; and representatives from more than 30 media and We Media from across the country.

At the ceremony, Liu Hongbing and other leaders delivered speeches and awarded the hatchery key to the first group of entrepreneurs who settled in the Tencent Entrepreneurship Space in Guangzhou Topchain Community. The guests twisted the clockwork and started the entrepreneurial timer to witness the possibility of next miracle.

The first batch of eight teams that settled in is excellent representatives selected by Tecent Entrepreneurship Space from 12,000 entrepreneurial teams. They are ITry, Molyo, Ruduo Beauty, DiDong Information Technology, Campus Captain, Wan Me, Kuai Ka, Da Ren Dai Ni Wan.

After the ceremony, those participating leaders and honored guests visited Tencent Entrepreneurship Space and Lingnan Press Museum in Guangzhou Topchain Community. They highly prasied the entrepreneurial environment and atmosphere in Guangzhou and expressed their earnest expectations for the development of the Community and entrepreneurial teams.

In Tencent Entrepreneurship Space on the fourth floor of the Caibian Building, Shen Haixiong learned about the products developed by the teams and from time to time took out a mobile phone to scan the QR code to follow them. After the exchanges, Shen Haixiong also encouraged each team. “I wish you a successful business and become another Ma Hua Teng!”

The team leader of ITry, the entrepreneurial team successfully hatched and CEO of ASou Technology Huang Xinshi said in an interview with the New Express reporter that as a post-90 entrepreneur with 5 years of entrepreneurial experience, he hopes to expand a larger market in Guangzhou since the ASou team’s R&D is in Beijing, “This is our first hatchery in South China. The company is also ready to be listed. It is a good thing for us to have a place to work in Guangzhou.”

Highlights 2  Tencent Entrepreneurship Space

On June 15, 2011, Tencent released an open strategy to start online incubation. The application center's on-line PV exceeded 500 million. By 2015, 108 companies had revenue of more than 10 million RMB, and more than 100 teams had a financing of over 100 million RMB. Tencent has 25 entrepreneurship space layouts across the country. Currently, it has a total of 176 teams that have been incubated, 10 companies that have entered the listing process, and 49 companies that have successfully financed. The 4-7-storey Tencent Entrepreneurship Space (Guangzhou Base) will accelerate the full-fledged incubation of Guangzhou Entrepreneurs.

The 21st floor of the editorial building is the “mastermind” of the entrepreneurship space. The entrepreneurial meeting room takes the common needs of “startup companies” as the core, integrates resources such as venture capital, government affairs, and professional services, and creates a one-stop convenient and efficient entrepreneurial service platform.

On the 9th floor of the Printing Building, Guangzhou Topchain Community optimized and upgraded the original 1,000 square meter auditorium of the original Yangcheng Evening News to create a "high-end" roadshow center. The projection screen in the middle of the stage is debugged by three projectors and adapters to realize the effect of circular projection, giving the entrepreneurial team a better road show experience.
